Miller Lowline Angus Ranch "Because you don't eat the legs...and they are so expensive to feed!"
Miller Lowline Angus Ranch (MLAR) is located on the western slope of Colorado, about 70 miles south of Grand Junction. We are dedicated to producing cattle that give customers the ability to be profitable, sustainable, and meet consumer demand, while practicing good land stewardship, being environmentally conscious, and treating our cattle humanely, giving them proper care and respect.
Natural, grass fed is not just a fad, it is a commitment to MLAR customers. Our cattle are on forage-only diets: grass or hay, NO GRAIN! Besides the grass or hay, the cattle are offered basic minerals that are lacking in the native forage (basic trace mineral block and cobalt block). Forage and basic mineral: no frills, no fillers, no extras. No creep feed for calves; grass, water, and mother's milk--only what they were designed to grow on. MLAR cattle are expected to perform as they were made, without extra pampering. This helps insure that the cattle will perform for customers without added inputs and expense, making them more profitable.
